Injury Assessments and Rehabilitation
Through the development of a doctor-patient relationship, patients receive a unified, continuous, and supportive approach to their rehabilitation. By collaborating with other health care professionals (massage therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, specialists) patients receive a full circle of care during their recovery.
Who is the service for?
The service is offered to patients, who have been involved in serious accidents or are dealing with significant injuries and do not already have a satisfactory and long-term relationship with a family physician.
Who conducts this service?
The treatment and rehabilitation of patients is conducted by a full team of health care professionals, with the process being overseen by a medical physician.
Hours involved?
Hours are determined on an individual basis – based on the needs and treatment required by each patient.
Who pays for the service?
There are no private or user fees for this service - these services are covered under the provincial medical services plan (Care Card).
