We work with lawyers, case managers, paralegals and legal assistants to coordinate care and ensure understanding of a clients rehabilitative progress.

Independent Medical Examination (IME)
Detailed and defensible reports our medical team's findings regarding the client’s medical history, physical and psychological injuries, diagnosis, prognosis, causation, apportionment and recommendations for further investigations and treatment options.  Furthermore, the evaluation results in clear and defensible commentary on the impact of injuries on activities of daily living, as well as, work demands and the client’s ability to return to work.  We work closely with many different physicians, specialists physicians and regulated health practitioners, who have extensive experience with Independent Medical Examinations.

Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
Functional Capacity Evaluations are completed by an occupational therapist or kinesiologist.  All of our assessors have completed specific FCE training and have extensive experience with defending their opinions and reports in court. The FCE takes approximately six to eight hours to complete and occasionally will require second day of testing.  A detailed FCE report addresses the residual physical tolerances, loss of ability and potential for rehabilitation in preparation for the determination of loss of earning capacity and/or future cost of care.

Cost for Care (CFC)
A comprehensive detailed report outlining an injured or disabled person’s current and future needs; quantifying the costs related to those needs.  An itemized report details the services, equipment and supplies required to restore the injured individual to pre-injury level of functioning and quality of life, as much as possible.  We offer brief cost of future care reports that compliment our independent medical examinations providing estimates for future treatment costs (medication, massage therapy, physiotherapy, exercise, counselling, home care, etc.) recommended by the physician.  We also provide comprehensive and thorough cost of care/life care plan assessment and reports, completed by an occupational therapist.

Document Review
A detailed medical file review responding to questions posed by the referring agency. This report provides a summary of an individual’s medical history, diagnosis, prognosis and recommendations to date.

WCB/WCAT Appeals
A comprehensive detailed assessment for injured workers, who are appealing Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT) decisions, performed by our physicians who have extensive experience with the medical aspects of compensation issues.  Our reports provide information on causation, disability, and permanent functional impairment issues.

CPP Disability Appeals
A comprehensive medical examination for CPP appeals.  Our reports provide a detailed summary of your client’s disability, addressing the physical and psychological conditions.

Care for Patients with Injuries
Continuous and supportive care for patients who do not have a family physician and are seeking medical attention due to injuries sustained during motor vehicle accidents, sports or in their personal life. Includes assessment and treatment by a physician and other health care professionals (massage therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and/or medical specialists) as required. This integrated approach ensures patients receive a full circle of care during recovery.

Medical-Legal Report Writing

Reports are compiled by the attending physician and include the history of the injuries, diagnosis, and medical opinions on prognosis, causation, apportionment, future care and cost, as well as the impact on employment and personal life.
